It's state tournament time!
Meet at Viewmont High to leave at 3:30 p.m on Friday.
Tournament is at Roy High School with first round wrestling starting at 5 p.m.

5th-7th grade for Middle School division (no 4th graders at all)
5th-9th grade for Jr. High division
Attention 9th graders if you have wrestled a high school match at all-even JV, then you are not eligible to wrestle in this tournament
If you wrestle for a team who feeds into a high school that is in the 4A or 5A division you belong in this tournament.
Otherwise, you should wrestle in the 1A-3A tournament.

The gym is on the North side of the school.
FORMAT: Pools of 3-5. Advanced and beginner pools for grades 4-9.
AWARDS: Everyone will receive medals. Junior high pool winners will have the
opportunity to match up against another pool winner to win a trophy.
SMALL GYM:
K-1: WEIGH-IN: 8:00-8:50 am
WRESTLE: Begins at 9:00 am
BOUT TIME: 3 – 45 second rounds.
2-3: WEIGH-IN: 9:00-9:50 am
WRESTLE: Begins at 10:00 am (or when k-1 finishes)

The Viewmont Invitational is this Friday and Saturday, December 19 and 20th. We need 20 volunteers to run the scoring tables and timers. The Tournament will run Friday from 1-9 pm and Saturday from 9-4. Volunteers will be served a free meal each day. We encourage our wrestlers and parents to help. They will see exciting matches. The wrestlers benefit from watching high caliber wrestlers. On Friday the kids will have to get out of school early.

December 6th Tournaments
Northsiders have two tournaments on Saturday, Dec. 6th.
The annual Fremont Tournament will take place at Fremont High School in Plain City, UT. for grades K–9. $10 entry fee. Meet in the north parking lot at Viewmont High School at 6:45 a.m. to carpool to Fremont. This is a great tournament and a fun way to start off our season.
On that same day the USA Wrestling Tour of America Tournament Series has its Salt Lake Slam at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Weigh-ins for this tournament take place on Friday night from 6-8 p.m. Here's a link for more information.

Wrestlers will need to choose which tournament they want to be participate in. Coach Smoot and Coach Key can help wrestlers and their parents decide which tournament will be best suited for each wrestler.
